Hostess or Mystery Hostess
When looking for a hostess you can
ask around groups and networks or you can have a mystery hostess.
What a mystery hostess is...is a
person put into a drawing that has attended and purchased from you. You would
then pick one of the persons to receive the hostess benefits from the party.
Dates and Rooms
Set a good time and day. Afternoons and evenings I find
are the best times to have them. People are usually available to come more so
during those times. Weekends are great however in the summer there appears to be
a fewer number if attendees do to the nice weather.

Preparing for Your Party
Prepare your specials & presentation. I suggest have your links and
descriptions already typed out and ready to copy and paste the night before.
Also prepare at least 2 games such as name scramble, trivia, bingo or scavenger
hunt. If you have a great game use that it! You may only play one but if your
turn out is very large another may be a good idea. If you are not with a Direct
Sales company who has the hostess benefit scale. You will need to know what kind
of hostess benefits you are going to offer.
Party Games & Prizes
Word Scramble is a popular and fun game. You take words from your
business such as products or services and you scramble them up and take 5 to 10
words to use in the party (again depending on size).
Trivia is another popular and fun game. This is where you ask
questions regarding your business which the party goers will have to go to the
site and look. Great way to get people to look at your products or services.
Bingo is a great game to. I have seen a few variations of this game.
You can either have pre-made bingo lists to hand out or allow the party goers to
send in there own. You then can either list the words (usually about your
business or relating to) or have the words listed and start taking away words.
The person who wins will be the person who has all the words.
Scavenger Hunt this is great for those who have there own hosting. You
can get very creative then by placing things on pages, in the middle of
paragraphs etc. You can also do this with a company made site by choosing a
phrase from you site for people to find.

Gift Certificates...whatever denomination you choose. $5 to $15 is the
average.
How to Present Your Party Regular or Auction Style
Having a Regular Online Party:
Start with introductions, announce your specials and present your hostess,
allow idle chit chat and then start a game. Take orders and answer questions.
Allow others to know what your hostess will get for having a party. This is to
help you get more leads for hostesses. If party is very large you may announce a
closing game.
Having an Auction Online Party:
Start out with introductions, announce your specials and present your hostess
make sure you announce the hostess benefits too. Announce what kind of auction
bucks you party attendees (these are fake bucks) get for purchases and
various other things as inviting people who participate in the chat to rsvping
before the auction starts. You can choose whatever you want in amounts of bucks
for certain tasks (always make purchases the highest earned auction bucks) and
what tasks. You allow everyone to shop, ask questions chat. About 30 to 45
minutes before Party end start the auction. If your attendance is small and
purchases minimal do 1 or 2 auctioned items. If your attendance is large do 3 to
4.
